Dr. Sharon Shoesmith 

Sharon Shoesmith worked with children for almost 40 years. She is the former Director of Children’s Services, London Borough of Haringey and the author of Learning from Baby P: The Politics of Blame, Fear and Denial (2016).  Presentation: Understanding and tackling social worker vulnerability  


Juliet Koprowska

Juliet Koprowska is Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of York. She is the author of Communication and Interpersonal Skills in Social Work, which is widely recommended on UK social work programmes. Presentation: Shame, blame and scapegoating
