An Evaluation of the Sing & Grow Programme with Adoptive Families

Following and excellent and well received presentation by Colette Salkeld at the 2013 CfSWP conference at Essex University we are now able to share the projects evaluation report.

The report is based on a music therapy programme provided for adopted children and their adoptive parents via Essex Social Care. The programme was facilitated by Colette Salkeld a senior music therapist at The Portland Hospital for women and children in London and also a regional director for Sing & Grow UK (colettesalkeld@singandgrow.org.uk.

The independent researcher was Guy Hayward who is completing a PhD on group singing and how it forms community (from the perspectives of anthropology and psychology), at the Centre for Music and Science, Faculty of Music,Cambridge, under the supervision of Prof.Ian Cross.
